| Es tut sich was im HipHop-Reich&Schön!! Es findet eine Selbstermächtigung statt, die nur begrüßt werden kann. Scheiß auf die videogewordenen, chauvinistischen Träume eines T.I., die dieser einer Imbissverkäuferin als Tagträumerei aufzwingt. Nämlich die, dass die Sisters schon glücklich sind wenn mann sie reich beschenkt (kauft ist vielleicht das bessere Wort) und zum Sexobjekt macht. Dieser Pimp mit Gucci-Flavor und Prada-Brille hat ausgedient. Captain Misogyny is dead!! Yo Majesty rocks!!! Über den Umweg England und Berlin artikulieren Yo Majesty einen frischen Entwurf dieser nicht mehr ganz so jungen Musik namens HipHop. Die Party die hier steigt ist weit entfernt von der üblichen heterosexuellen Nutzbarmachung des weiblichen Körpers und von dem schwülstigen, gesichtslosen Hightechschmacht, der leider immer noch die HipHop Welt regiert. Yo Majesty proklamieren hier so selbstverständlich queere Consciousness über zuvor hauptsächlich homophob und sexistisch konnotierte Musik wie MiamiBass, dass die männlichen Crews schleunigst ihre Eier festhalten sollten. Aber das allerbeste ist das diese ganze Scheibe nicht eine Minute nach Holzhammeragitation klingt, nein, ganz im Gegenteil, die Beats sind fresh und bouncen nachhaltig und die Vocalperformace von Shunda K und Jewel B lässt keine Wünsche offen. Absoluter Tip!!! |
